APTSJW was founded on May 2, 1992 to address the grave concern that the Japanese government and Japan’s prominent political and business leaders continue to distort the history of its brutal aggression against China and her people, and their blunt refusal to accept Japan’s war responsibilities.

APTSJW provides infrastructural support to research and educational organizations sharing the same conviction, and makes constructive recommendations to all concerned parties to heal old wounds, bring past conflicts to final closure, and lay the foundation for peace and prosperity in the region. There is no ill feeling or hatred towards the Japanese people. The Japanese civilians, in fact, were also the victims of a handful of Japanese militarists who brought unspeakable horror to permanently scar the victimized nations, including Japan.

APTSJW works to inform the general public in the United States, China, Japan and other countries.
Our mission is to cause the Japanese government to shoulder the responsibility and finally accept the consequences of the Japanese unmerciful assaults of its neighbors during the war, offer apology to the Chinese people, pay appropriate compensation to victims and their families, and tell the truth of history to the Japanese citizens so that its people will never again bear the burden of any unconscionable act of aggression.
Nanjing Massacre is one of the most heinous war crimes committed by the Japanese Imperial Army during the invasion of China before WWII. The event unfolded on Dec 13, 1937 after the Japanese invasion force entered Nanjing, the capital city of then Republic of China. In the ensuing next 6 weeks, the Japanese soldiers killed more than 300,000 civilians and surrendered Chinese soldiers in the most brutal way. These Japanese soldiers also raped more than 80,000 women and girls during this period. In 1945, after the war ended, the Tokyo Military Tribunal trial cited Nanjing Massac as one of the worst war crimes against humanity. To learn more details information about Nanjing Massac, please see our photo exhibition.
“Comfort Women” is the euphemism for sexual slaves by the Japanese Army during WWII. In Korea alone, The Japanese Army forced more than 200,000 young women and girls into sexual slavery. Hundreds of thousands young women and girls in 13 other Asian countries, including The Philippines’, China, Indonesia, India, were also victims of this inhumane system. These poor victims were either abducted against their will or lured into this trap. At the end of war as the Japanese Army loosing on the battle ground, to cover their track and destroy the evidence, the Japanese soldiers slaughtered most of these poor victims. We present many survivors’ testimonies of their ordeals in our photo exhibition
The Japanese Imperial Army has conducted both biological and chemical warfare against Chinese soldiers as well as civilians during the invasion. To develop these weapons, the Japanese Army performed savage experiments on live human subjects. The cruelty of these experiments shuddered any conscientious human being. How these Japanese soldiers can commit such heinous act on other human beings is beyond anyone’s imagination. Today after more than 70 years has passed, there are still some survival victims suffering from the brutal biological warfare. The ruins left by the biological warfare research group of the Japanese Army Unit 731 and the testimonies of the surrendered Japanese soldiers present an opportunity for historian and average people to see this savage act. A collection of photos and testimonies are presented in Photo exhibition
